So, question 1 would ask is why the title?
Well, there is a story behind it. So some of us who have experience working in other countries develop habits and skills which are based on our own individual experience and the guidelines followed in the country we practiced.
This is more so in countries like the Middle Eastern, where there is a mixture of US, UK, Canadian, European styles of management.
While each style has its merits, this led to us having an experience that is a mixture of everything. While something is entirely appropriate in one country, might not be appropriate in the other and we all can at least think of a few examples, such as how do you approach an End of life patient among other things.
So one of the consultants who I have started to admire gave me advice which is the theme of this blog.
Do what an average UK doctor would do and you will be fine?
I reflected on this advice for days and understood what he meant. Each day I try to understand similarities and differences between a UK-trained doctor and an IMG.
So I will share my experience, what I understood and what I learned from my experience.
Read my blogs and probably you will find something useful?
